A Hill of Coconut Trees

“Sri Lanka's most-photographed coconut grove — the rows of palms run right up to the cliff edge, with the ocean sweeping out behind them. Best at sunrise (fewer people) or sunset.

A grassy headland just east of Mirissa Beach, lined with rows of coconut palms that frame an open view of the Indian Ocean. Reached on foot from the beach in about fifteen minutes.
